I wish you would stop cutting;
you think that's all that's there.
It makes me very sad to think
that you believe that I don't care.
Bloodshed and tears,
that is all I see.
But, if you told me more about it,
I could show you what you can be.
If you let me hold your hand,
we could see it through
And if you let me hug you once,
that would help too.
The world is so much more
then what you believe
We could walk a new path together.
And eventually the pain would leave.
Others would gladly take your place,
for your one chance at life.
Please see the bright side of things,
and let go of the fight
People have died for you;
soldiers, God, and men
So stop dreading on your sorrows,
and think about that then
I could tell you all this,
all this and more

I originally wrote this after witnessing a few girls at school that have gotten into the horrible habbit of cutting themselves. Usually, a cutter tries to hide it, but these peopel leave their scars out in the open. It makes me think that they're trying to gain attention or something.
But, by writing that I noticed something strange about myself. I'm one too...well, inderictly. I've always bit my nails from as young as I can remember. But, it progressed into bleeding fingertips. And, lately I've gotten done to biting my forearm. Luckily, the bruises caused by the bite marks are small. But, it still isn't healthy and I should stop..but, I can't. I know it sounds gross, but it's caused by stress, just like every other cutter. Oh well...
